Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse, also Betelgeux, is a term in astronomy for a star in the constellation Orion. It is the tenth brightest star in the sky, a red supergiant, with variations in its brightness due to pulsations in its outer envelope. In Arabic, it is called 'yad al-jauza' literally 'hand of the giant' Orion.
