Bethlehem

Bethlehem, a village 6 miles south of Jerusalem in the West Bank, is the birthplace of Jesus Christ and King David, with a convent containing the Church of the Nativity. The area around the village has now been developed as a small town. The grotto is nearby where St. Jerome translated the Bible into Latin.

There is also an industrial city of this name in eastern Pennsylvania, a state in the United States. It is located on the Lehigh River. It is famous as steel manufacturing centre.
