Bhim Tungri is in Palkot block of Gumla district in Jharkhand state of India. It is a hillock, a rock formation near Lalgarh. It derives its name from a legend prevalent in the area. According to the legend, Bhim of Mahabharat had visited this place along with his brothers and his mother during their exile. Bhim had cursed the mountain and had declared it a restricted place for sexual intercourse after seeing his mother disturbed for coition, describes the legend.
