Bib

Bib is a piece of cloth fastened around the neck to keep the clothes clean while eating. The front of the apron above the waist or the pair of overalls is also called a bib, since it prevents the clothes becoming dirty. Bib is also a loose-fitting sleeveless garment worn by competitors and officials at a sporting event chiefly for identification.

A patch of colour on the throat of a bird or animal is also called a bib.
