Bicarbonate

Bicarbonate is a term in chemistry that is generally used in combination with other words, such as 'sodium bicarbonate'. Any salt containing the anion HCO₃^- is named bicarbonate. Bicarbonate of soda, ie sodium bicarbonate, is also called bicarbonate in short.
