Bikini

Bikini is an atoll in the Marshall Islands in the Western Pacific Ocean. It was the site for testing of an atom bomb by the United States in 1946. It remained a site for testing nuclear weapons by the US until 1958.

Bikinis are the very short two piece swimsuits or scanty underpants, worn by women. This garment is named after this atoll where the atom bomb was exploded, supposing the 'explosive' effect of the garment when worn by a woman.
