Bilberry

Bilberry is name of a hardy dwarf shrub and its dark blue edible berry, probably of Scandinavian origin, and closely related to blueberry. It grows red drooping flowers and yields dark blue berries. It belongs to the genus Vaccinium and the family Ericaceae. Several species of bilberries are found including the tundra bilberry (Vaccinium uliginosum).
