Bill

Bill is a term in commerce for a written statement in which an amount of money is mentioned that is owed for goods provided or services rendered. A bank note is also called a bill, such as a 100-dollar bill. In law, a bill is a draft of a proposed law to be presented to a legislative body, such as a parliament or assembly, for discussion, amendment, or approval. A poster, pamphlet, or handbill is also called a bill. In theatre, a bill is a programme of entertainment.

In biology, a birds beak is called a bill, especially the slender, flattened, or weak ones. The beaks of the birds of the pigeon family, and also of the web-footed birds are especially called bills. The muzzle of a platypus the semi aquatic egg-laying mammal is also called a bill, and also the point of an anchor fluke.

A bill at the front of a cap is its stiff brim. Anything similar is shape such as in a toy is also called bill. During medieval days, a weapon like a halberd was being called a bill because of its hook instead of a blade. The hook was also named a bill.
