Billfish

Billfish is a popular sporting fish of open seas, found in warmer waters, swims fast, but occurs on the surface. It has a large streamlined body and a long pointed and spearlike snout. Several species of this fish are found including the spear-fish, sailfish, and marlins. It belongs to the family Istiophoridae. There are three genera of this fish. It derives its name from its bill like snout.
