Billiard
Billiard, also billiards, is a game, played on a rectangular
billiard table with six pockets around its edges and sides, usually by two persons, who try to strike three balls with cues into the pockets. Billiard is also name of a stroke in which cue ball strikes two balls successively. English billiards, is also called billiards in short, a game in which points are made by caroms, pocketing an object ball, or caroming the cue ball into a pocket of the billiard table. The term was originated from the French billard which denoted both the game and the cue.
