Bioengineering

Bioengineering is a branch of study concerting genetic application to repair or replace damaged or absent parts of living organism. In this sense of the term it is just another name for genetic engineering. The branch of engineering involving biological organisms or processes is also known by this name apart from using artificial tissues, organs, or organ components to replace damaged or absent parts of the body.
