Birkitti is in Pakur district of Jharkhand state in India. It is situated at about a distance of 10 kms from Maheshpur Block headquarter of the district. It is a place of historical importance where a bitter battle was fought between the local Rajput chief Raja Udit Narayan Singh and Nabab Murshid Kuli Khan of Murshidabad in the early 18th century. The ruins of the fort can still be seen.
