Birmingham

Birmingham is the name of several cities in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.

One of them is an industrial city in west central England. It is situated in the northwest of Warwickshire, 112 miles northwest of London by rail. It was emerged as a chief town of the Midlands by the early 20th century, and celebrated all over the world for its metal ware. All kinds of engines and machinery, fine gold, silver, copper, and brass ware, cutlery and ammunition are made here; steel pens, buttons, nails, and screws are specialties. It is a picturesque town with many fine buildings, libraries, art gallery and museums, educational institutions, a cathedral, and a great town-hall, where the triennial musical festival is held. Of this town Burne-Jones was a native, and Priestley, George Dawson, and Dale were dissenting ministers.

Another important city is in north central Alabama, a state in the southeastern region of the United States of America.

Yet another city by this name is situated in southeastern Michigan, a state in in the USA, north of detroit.
