Biscayne Bay

Biscayne Bay is a lagoon, with characteristics of an estuary, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated in southeastern Florida, a state in the United States, south of Miami. The bay is famous for its islands, resorts, and biodiversity. Biscayne National Park is its chief attraction consisting of four ecosystems: coastal mangrove hammocks, Biscayne Bay's shallow lagoon waters, coral limestone keys and the third-largest offshore reef in the world.
