Bismarck Archipelago

Bismarck Archipelago is an archipelago, an island group in the western Pacific ocean, which includes New Britain, New Ireland, and several hundred other islands. It is part of Papua New Guinea. It was formerly called New Britain under the protectorate of Germany from 1884 to World War I. It is situated northeast of New Guinea.
