Bitstream

Bitstream is a term in electronics for a stream of binary data. It is also a trademark for a system of signal conversion from digital to analog. Before conversion into an analog, the signal from a CD is digitally processed to give a signal at a higher frequency. Such a conversion is used in some audio CD players.
