Black locust

Black locust is a North American tree widely grown as ornamental. It has densely grown compound leaves and bears hanging clusters of white and fragrant flowers. It is a tree of the temperate regions and has be naturalized even in Europe and Asia. Its botanical name is Robinia pseudoacacia, and it belongs to the Leguminosae family. Its is known as a nitrogen-fixing legume.
