Black vulture

Black vulture, also called carrion crow, is a large American vulture. It is named so because of its black plumage and a short square tail. It is aggressive by nature. Coragyps atratus is its zoological name, and it belongs to Cathartidae family.

A very large Old World vulture, the cinereous vulture, is also called black vulture because of its blackish-brown plumage. It is found in Europe, but has become an endangered species and its sighing is rare. Aygypius monachus is its zoological name, and it belongs to Accipitridae family.
