Blackbeard

Blackbeard (d. 1718), real name Edward Teach, was an English pirate. Before turning to piracy he was a privateer during the War of the Spanish Succession during 1701 — 14. He operated as a pirate in the West Indies and the Virginia — North Carolian coast of America region.
