Blackstrap

Blackstrap is a dark viscous molasses that is obtained as a byproduct of the final sugar extraction phase. It is used chiefly in cattle feed and in the industrial production of citric acid and vinegar. Blackstrap molasses is rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. It is also a good source of manganese, vitamin B6, and selenium.
