Bladdernut

Bladdernut, also bladder nut, is a shrub and small tree depending on its species among several found, and also the fruit it bears. It is a plant of north temperate regions. It bears white flowers and inflated seed capsules. It belongs to the genus Staphylea of the Staphyleaceae family. The American bladdernut, zoological name Staphylea trifolia, of the eastern US is one of the notable species.
