Blastogenesis

Blastogenesis is a term in biology or botany for a theory that hereditary characteristics are transmitted by germ plasm. An asexual reproduction of an organism by budding is also called blastogenesis. In cell biology, it is the development of lymphocytes into larger undifferentiated cells that can undergo mitosis, ie division of chromosomes into two new nuclei.
