Blazing star
Blazing star is a name given to several plants of North America, which included the 'devil's bit' and the 'giant blazing stat'. Many of them are cultivated as ornamental plants. A plant of the daisy family with tall spikes of purple or white flowers is also notable among them which belonging to the genus Liatris and the family Compositae. One of the plants of the western US grows toothed leaves and yellow flowers. It belongs to the genus Mentzelia, and the family Loasaceae. The gray-leaved, large-flowered 'giant blazing star' of the genus Mentzelia Laevicaulis is also notable among them.
