Blewit

Blewit is a wild mushroom with pale buff or lilac cap and lilac stem. This edible mushroom is found in Europe and North America. It belongs to the genus Lepista, the family Tricholomatadeae, and the class Basidiomycetes. The 'common blewit' (Lepista saeva) and 'wood blewit' (Lepista nuda) are noted among its several species.
