Block Island

Block Island (BI) is an island in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a famous resort island in southern Rhode Island, a state in the United States. It is situated in Block Island Sound at the eastern end of Long Island Sound. Block Island in located 9 miles (14 km) south of the mainland and 14 miles (23 km) east of Montauk Point, Long Island, New York, named after Dutch explorer Adriaen Block.
