Blood transfusion

Blood transfusion is a term in medicine for the transfer of blood or blood components of one individual into another. It is transferred intravenous. The blood obtained from individual donor is first tested in laboratory, and then transfused into recipient if found compatible. A blood transfusion can be a life-saving procedure, and health services are challenged to maintain an adequate supply of safe blood, and to ensure that it is used appropriately.
