Blowpipe

Blowpipe is a contrivance in welding, usually a tube, by which a current of air is driven through a flame, and the flame directed upon some fusible substance to fuse or vitrify it. A blowpipe is used to intensify the heat of a flame by blowing air or gas at high pressure. A blowpipe is also used to make various shapes out of molten glass by means of blowing air through it.
