Blue-eyed grass

Blue-eyed grass is a plant of the iris family. It is a North American plant, and is cultivated as ornamental plant for its blue flowers. It belongs to the genus Sisyrinchium and the family Iridaceae. Several species of this plant are found among which the flat-stemmed Sisyrinchium montanum is particularly notable.
