Blueberry

Blueberry is a shrub, named so because it bears dark blue edible berries. The small sweet berry of the shrub is also called blueberry. It is hardy and dwarf, and grows small whitish drooping flowers. It belongs to the heath family, botanically Ericaceae family, and the genus Vaccinium. Several North American species of blueberries are found, the most common among them is the 'common highbush blueberry' (Vaccinium corymbosum. There are also many cultivated varieties of blueberries.
