Blueweed

Blueweed, also called viper's bugloss, is a plant of the borage family. It is native to Eurasia but now widespread in North America. This bristly plant bears pink buds but opens to blue flowers. It is known for its medicinal quality and was formerly used as antidote to snakebites. Its botanical name is Echium vulgare, and it belongs to Boraginaceae family.
