Blusher

Blusher, also called blush, is a cosmetic of pink colour that is applied on cheeks to give them warm colour, ie a rosy colour. It is available in the form of powder, cakes of powder, or cream. However, the blusher is a woodland toadstool, a kind of fungus or mushroom, native to both Eurasia and North America. It is spore-bearing, and has a buff cap with fluffy white spots and white flesh, but turns pink when cut or bruised. These are believed to be inedible on account of its being poisonous. Its botanical name is Amanita rubescens, and belongs to the class Basidiomycetes and the family Amanitaceae.
