Boast is the name of an act of talking with a great self-satisfaction in one's achievements, possessions, or abilities. It shows excessive pride and self-aggrandisement. In squash, the high speed racquet sports, a boast is a stroke that makes the ball to hit one of the sidewalls before hitting the front wall.
