Bodleian Library

Bodleian Library is the university library of Oxford and one of six copyright libraries in the United Kingdom. It is the main research library of Oxford university. It was founded, or rather restored, by Sir Thomas Bodley (1545 — 1613) in 1593. The university library was renamed the Bodleian in 1602. It was enlarged from time to time by bequests, often munificent. It possesses over 400,000 printed volumes and 30,000 MSS.
