Body image

Body image is the mental image of one's own body. It is subjective since it is based on self-observation and comment from others regarding physical appearance, and therefore may not be true or objective representation of the body image. Most of the time it is an intellectual or idealized image at present or what it should be in the future. Sometimes it is totally misconceived due to certain mental condition.
