Bogomil

Bogomil was a member of a medieval Balkan sect called Bogomilos. Though it literally meant 'beloved of God' in medieval Greek, they were considered heretic. The sect derives its name from the person who first disseminated the heresy, from Old Church Slavic. They professed a modified form of Manichaeism.
