Bomdila Monastery

Bomdila Monastery, also known as Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Ling Monastery, is situated in Bomdila town of Arunachal Pradesh in India. It is located at about 160 km from Guwahati.

This monastery, Upper Gompa, was established by the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rimpoche in 1965 - 66. It is worth mentioning here that the Gompa is a replica of Tsona Gontse Monastery at Tsona in South Tibet, established during 15th century.
