Boudicca

Boudicca (AD 30 — AD 62), also known as Boadicea, was a British warrior and queen of ancient Britain. She led revolt of the Iceni against Roman colonies Camulodunum (Colchester), Londinium (London), and Verulamium (St Albans), but was eventually defeated by Roman governor in Britain, Suetonius Paulinus, in the Midlands. She was said to have committed suicide by taking poison from a poisoned chalice rather than surrendering.
