Brahmabandhab Upadhyay

Brahmabandhab Upadhyay (1861-1907) was an Indian reformer, an associate of Surendranath Banerjea and Ananda Bose. He was actively involved in various progressive movements in the country. He co-founded Twentieth Cuntury magagine in 1901 and Sandhya Daily News in 1904. He was arrested by the British government for printing materials against the government having anticolonialist tracts. At that time India was under British rule and Indian independence movement was order of the day. He was sent to jail for sedition where he became ill and died.
