Bril Brothers

Bril Brothers - Matthew, also Matthijs (1550–83) and Paul (c. 1554–1626) - were famous Flemish landscape painters, born at Antwerp. They were employed in the 16th century by successive Popes to decorate the Vatican at Rome. Paul was the younger and was the greater artist. His best pictures are in Rome.
