Cademosto

Cademosto (1432-1480), full name Alvise da Cà da Mosto, was a Venetian, a citizen of Venice in Italy, in the service of Portugal, discovered the Cape de Verde Islands in 1457. He wrote the first book giving an account of modern voyages, published posthumously.
