CAPTAIN THOMAS DRUMMOND

CAPTAIN THOMAS DRUMMOND (1797-1840), civil engineer, born in Edinburgh; inventor of the Drummond Light; was employed in the trigonometrical survey of Great Britain and Ireland; became Under-Secretary for Ireland, and was held in high favour by the Irish.
