Catamarca

Catamarca is northwest province of Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic. It derives its name from its capital city San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, usually shortened to Catamarca. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise, from the north): Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, and La Rioja. To the west it borders the country of Chile. It is rich in minerals, especially copper.
