Cestus
Cestus, literally any band, was a girdle worn by ancient Greek and Roman women, especially worn by brides. It was the name specially given to the girdle of Aphrodité, in Greek mythology, so emblazoned with symbols of the joys of love that no susceptible soul could resist the power of it. It was borrowed by Hera to captivate Zeus.Nearby pages
