Chandakaushik

Chandakaushik was a sage in ancient India. His name figures in Hindu mythology as the son of Kakshivan. It is related in the Mahabharata that he gave a mango fruit to Brihadrath who had two wives but had no child. The sage had given the fruit after uttering mantras over it. Brihadrath made the fruit in two halves, and gave them to his wives each. It resulted into births of two half-baby boys. Eventually, both were joined together and made one. Thus one baby boy came to life who was named Jarasandh. Later in life Jarasandh became a king.
