Chandra Kanta Bhattacharya

Chandra Kanta Bhattacharya was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India, born at Bidyakut, tripura. He was s/o Late Umesh Chandra Bhattacharya. He belonged to Anushilan Samity, was arrested in connection with Ramchandrapur Mail Action. and sentenced to 8 years prison term, after that deported to the Andamans jail to serve the sentence. During his prison life, he participated in the second Hunger Strike in Cellular Jail -Andamans July 1937, for 37 days. He was repatriated in 1937 and finally released in 1938. His total jail period was about seven years. He is no more in the living.
