Charlotte Bronte

Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855) was an English writer. She was sister of two other famous woman writers Anne and Emily Bronte. After boarding school and home studies, she worked as governess and teacher. She returned home in 1845 and orchestrated publication of book of poetry with sisters. She began writing intensively. Jane Eyre, her masterpiece, was published in 1847 to immediate success. She married father's curate in 1854, but died the next year during pregnancy.
