Chausa

Chausa is a historical place in Buxar district of Bihar in India. It is mainly famous for Chausa Hoard (bronze) discovered in the Gangetic valley. The hoard was a set of 18 Jain bronzes that housed articles dating back to Gupta period.

This is the place where the war between Mughal Emperor, Humayun and Sher Shah was fought in 1539. In that war Sher Shah had defeated Humayun.
