Chintaharan Das

Chintaharan Das was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was son of Dinabandhu Das, born in 1900 at Manakhan, Faridpur, now in Bangladesh. At the age of 18 he became a member of Anusheelan. He was arrested and convicted in 1935 for 5 years and deported to Andamans. His jail term was about four years - three years in Cellular jail and about one year in mainland jails.
