Chitrasen

Chitrasen was a Gandharva in Hindu mythology. The Mahabharata relates that the Pandav prince Arjun once went to his father Indra in Svarg to obtain celestial weapons from him. During his stay in Savarg, he learnt singing and dancing from Chitrasen. When Arjun wanted to return to earth, Chitrasen tried his best to dissuade him but of no avail. Then Chitrasen sent an Apsara named Urvashi to bewitch him with her beauty. This plan of Chitrasen also failed. Arjun finally returned to earth.

At one time, Gandharvas came to know about Duryodhan's plan to harm the Pandavas. The Gandharvas then captured them, however, were set free on Arjun's request.
