Cingalese

Cingalese is an Anglicized spelling of Sinhalese, used much during British Raj in Sri Lanka, then known by the name Ceylon. The term was applied for a native of Sri Lanka. The word Sinhalese is derived from Sinhaldvip, the ancient name of the country.
